History of Living Faith World Ministries
The Bible states many are called but few are chosen. In July 1997, the Church of God is State Overseer, Appointed Pastor Barhoo to Pastor the Holly Hill Church of God, located at 1141 Cave Avenue, Holly Hill, Florida. God gave us a vision to restore the building and change the name to Living Faith Church of God. One year later we remodeled the entire building. God began to bless in an awesome way. With much prayer, fasting, hard work and faithfulness, our ministry began to grow.
In 1998, while in prayer, God directed us to branch out from the Church of God. We remain committed and faithful to Church of God until God releases us to begin a new work. In 1999 our ministry began to grow. We desperately needed a larger building for worship. Our membership went from five to about one hundred. After much prayer being released from God, we began our present ministry; Living Faith Church.
In 2000, the vision grew, God said "I want you to step out on faith and begin a new ministry". The name of the new ministry will be Living Faith World Ministries. Living Faith Church began with only five people, my family of four and one lady. Our membership went from five to about one hundred and continued to grow daily.
Living Faith World Ministries began in January of 2000, where services were held at Living Faith Church of God following their service. Living Faith Church of God, met at 10am and Living Faith World Ministries 12 noon.
In 2001 to 2002, God directed us to a building located at 724 S. Segrave Street in Daytona Beach, Florida. Our church membership continued to grow and we needed a larger building for service. With little money, lots of favor and great faith, we stepped out to purchase our first church building. In addition to buying the church building, God allowed us to possess all the vacant land around our church building. With God's favor and direction, we then set our sights on greater things for the kingdom. We remained at our 724 Segrave location for 3 1/2 years before moving into our newest building.
Again, another miracle happened; God gave us another building located at 950 Derbyshire Road, Daytona Beach, Florida. We entered our new church building on August 7, 2005. Today our ministry sits on over 6 acres of land with three buildings covering about 20,000 feet that is being used to give God praise and worship. Our ministry continues to grow expanding to new areas through our covenant fellowship churches. God continues to do great things for his people. The favor of God is still flowing upon our congregation and souls are being won to the kingdom of God. With much excitement and prayer we move from Glory to Glory, to Glory!
